Re The Monarchist: Harper: "The Red Ensign of 1917 will fly over Vimy"
In 1917, young Canadian men fought for the Red Ensign.
They would rather have died,
than to see another flag fly from from their childrens' masts.
Many did.
After many years of resting under a foreign banner,
may their souls now see their flag once more,
and rest in peace.
