CTV is reporting that the wife of a Chinese diplomat in Ottawa has defected to the Canada. I hope this is the beginning of greater Canadian awareness of the serious abuses the communist government of China continues to perpetrate.
For every Maher Arar we Canadians get into a frenzy about, there are tens of thousands of Chinese who suffer worse. Do human rights only matter? Or only when Western governments run afoul?
